Sultanate of Oman TV is the official television channel from Oman. The channel began broadcasting in Muscat on 17 November 1974 and then in Salalah on 25 November 1975. Since 1997, Oman TV has been broadcasting on its official website.

The channel broadcasts government news and announcements, events in the Omani arena, programs for children and heritage programs, nature programs in Oman, various documentaries, and Omani, Gulf, Arab and international films and series. تلفزيون سلطنة عُمان هو التلفزيون الرسمي الذي يبث من سلطنة عُمان. بدأت القناة بثها في مدينة مسقط في 17 من نوفمبر من عام 1974، ثم في مدينة صلالة في 25 من نوفمبر من عام 1975. ومنذ عام 1997 بدأ تلفزيون سلطنة عُمان بالبث عن طريق موقعه الرسمي على الإنترنت.

وتبث القناة نشرات الأخبار والإعلانات الحكومية والفعاليات التي تحصل في الساحة العُمانية وبرامج للأطفال والبرامج التراثية وبرامج عن الطبيعة في سلطنة عُمان وأفلام وثائقية متنوعة والمسلسلات والأفلام العُمانية والخليجية والعربية والعالمية. ببداية يناير 2013 تم إطلاق قناة عمان الرياضية وهي قناة تهتم بالرياضة كما تقوم ببث مباريات الدوري العماني لكرة القدم وهي بديله للبرنامج الثاني (القناة الثانية) اللتي انطلقت في نوفمبر 2006وتوقفت عن البث ،

‏وفي بداية يناير 2014 تم إطلاق "عمان مباشر "تختص بنقل الفعاليات والاحداث التي تجري على الساحة العمانية بما فيها مجلس الشورى.

وفي 31 ديسمبر 2015 تم إطلاق الهوية الجديدة لقنوات الهيئة العامة للإذاعة و التلفزيون وإطلاق البث التجريبي لقناة عمان الثقافية وبث نشرات الاخبار من مركز الاخبار ويمكن مشاهده جميع قنوات تلفزيون سلطنه عمان بنظام HD على عربسات بتردد 12456 أفقي ونايلسات 12111 أفقي ويمكن مشاهدتها أيضآ بنظام SD على نفس الترددات ويمكن للمشاهدين معرفه دليل البرامج باللغه العرييه بالضغط على زر EPG او i الموجود على جهاز الأستقبال (الرسيفر)

وفي رمضان 2013 بث التلفزيون برنامج المسابقات "العقرب" بتقديم 4 مذيعين وبالرغم من أن البرنامج لقي انتقادات إلا أنه كان تجربة فريدة من نوعها على شاشة التلفزيون العماني ‏،ومن أبرز البرامج التلفزيون برنامج //قهوة الصباح، البرنامج الديني //سؤال أهل الذكر، برنامج //من عمان، برنامج //أنت كما تريد برنامج //شؤون الساعة برنامج //عمان في أسبوع، وغيرها من البرامج الهادفة ‏

و تلفزيون سلطنة عمان بقناتيه -العامة والرياضية- وعمان مباشر والثقافيه تبث على الأقمار الصناعية التالية:
