عام 2012 صرف ما يقارب 400 موظف من المحطة، وهؤلاء جميعهم يتعاقدون معشركة باك التي امتنعت عن دفع أجورهم بحجة أن لا شيء يجبرها على دفع أجور موظفين يعملون للقناة الأرضية . ولم تتأخّر المحطة حتى قدمت روايتها عن حقيقة العلاقة بين إل بي سي إنترناشونال التي يملكها لبنانيون وفي مقدمهم بيار الضاهر وشركة باك التي يملكها الوليد بن طلال، وعادت إلى يوم التعاقد مع الشيخ صالح كامل عام ،1997 لتأسيس شركة إل إم إتش المالكة لشركة باك ليميتيد، إل بي سي الفضائية وإل بي سي أمريكا وإل بي سي أوروبا

بقيت إل بي سي آي شركة مستقلة بمساهميها اللبنايين فقط . وكانت نسبة 51% من أسهم باك والفضائية اللبنانية تعود إلى لبنانيين وأكبر المساهمين بينهم بيار الضاهر . وإثر دخول الوليد بن طلال في الصورة عام ،2003 بنتيجة تسوية مع صالح كامل، أخذ الأمير مكانه في شركةLMH ، مالكة الفضائيّة اللبنانيّة، ثم دخل في الشراكة بهدف مزيد من توسع الحوت الإعلامي روبرت مردوخ عام 2010 . ولم تتأخر الأزمة حتى بدأت ترخي بذيولها على أداء القنوات وموظفيها .

تخلت باك عن نحو 400 موظف، بعدما سبق ذلك امتناع الشركة عن تسديد مستحقاتهم الماليّة . وفي النهاية، تم الاتفاق مع الموظفين على حل للمأساة وأعيد 125 موظفاً من المصروفين من شركةالوليد بن طلال، إلى القناة الأرضية، ووظفت مجموعة أخرى منهم في قناة اليمن اليوم، التي يملكها ابن الرئيس اليمني السابق علي عبد الله صالح .

إثر الانفصال بين القناتين الأرضية والفضائية، ظلت الأرضية في قبضة رئيس مجلس إدارتها بيار الضاهر، الذي يستمر نزاعه القضائي عليها مع رئيس الهيئة التنفيذية في القوات اللبنانيّة سمير جعجع . أما الفضائيّة فقد خسر الضاهر ما تبقى له فيها، قبل نقل بثها من بيروت إلى القاهرة،

اصبحت بعدها في يد الأمير الوليد بن طلال، بينما يتابع شؤونها مع روتانا خليجية على الأرض تركي شبانة . ويؤخذ على المحطة اليوم، أنها تكاد لا تحمل من لبنانيتها سوى الاسم، خصوصاً أنها تهتم بشكل كبير بعرض المسلسلات والبرامج المصريّة القديمة .اا عدل

في 6 أغسطس 2015 قناة LBCI اللبنانية تقدمت بدعوى التحكيم، أمام القضاء الفرنسي، ضد الأمير السعودي،الوليد بن طلال.ونصّ الحكم، الذي نقلته القناة، على “وجوب كفّ بن طلال قرصنته لـ ,LBC Europe America, Australia, Africa, Maghreb والتنازل عن حقه لهذه القنوات، وإعادتها لـLBCI مقابل دولار واحد”.كما نصّ قرار محكمة التحكيم الفرنسية على تحميل الأمير، الوليد بن طلال، كامل رسوم ومصاريف الدعوى القضائية التي خسرها.
