DESCRIPTION:

Kuwait State Television is the official and governmental television of the State of Kuwait represented by the Ministry of Information.

It began broadcasting in 1951 and was owned by a merchant from Kuwait. It was bought by the government and officially launched on November 15, 1961, from the eastern quarter of Kuwait City (now East). At that time, the headquarters was a hub for all television activities, directed and broadcast by programs, news, management and all television sectors. The programs were broadcast in black and white for four hours a day. And then began broadcasting in color and was the first time to broadcast color in the first role of the Gulf Cup in Bahrain. The channels of Kuwait are among the first channels of the Gulf and even the Arab and the best. 1960 On November 15, the experimental channel of the first channel was launched. It was called the General Program and was for 4 hours a day. Hence the beginning of the official systems. It was news and the Holy Quran in addition to educational programs for children and various programs. The TV camera went out of the studio for the first time on June 19, 1962, to record the official public celebrations held on the occasion of the First Independence Day. Kuwait TV continued to broadcast experimentally for two years until the official broadcast began at the end of 1962 when television equipment was completed according to the conditions of those days. Kuwait Television appreciated the efforts exerted by television officials and supervisors. The programs have taken great steps forward in terms of subject matter and output The transmission hours have doubled and efforts are still being made to bring television to a decent level among States. At that time, Kuwait TV was still its old location on the Arabian Gulf coast (Near Dasman Palace) until the huge complex that housed the ministry, radio and television was built and was ready for various programs and plays.

The first Kuwaiti broadcasters of the period were Salim al-Fahd, Reza al-Faily, Jassim al-Shehab, Basima Sulaiman, Mona Talib and Amal Jaafar.

In the past, television had been broadcasting its programs since early morning, and the broadcast was due to start in the middle of the night. In the 1990s, 24 hours of live broadcast and rerun of its programs became available.

تلفزيون دولة الكويت، هو التلفزيون الرسمي والحكومي التابع لدولة الكويت ممثلة بوزارة الإعلام.

بدأ بثه في 1951 وكان مملوكًا لتاجر من تجار الكويت واشترته الحكومة وبدأ بثه الرسمي في 15 نوفمبر 1961 وذلك من الحي الشرقي من مدينة الكويت (الشرق حالياً)، فأصبح ثاني تلفزيون في الخليج بعد تلفزيون العراق. وكان المقر في تلك الفترة عبارة عن شبرات تتوزع عليها كل أنشطة التلفزيون من إخراج وبث للبرامج والأخبار والإدارة وكل قطاعات التلفزيون. وقد كان بث البرامج باللونين الأبيض والأسود لمدة أربع ساعات يوميًا. و من ثم بدأ البث بالألوان وكان أول مرة يبث فيه بالألوان في أول دوره لكأس الخليج في البحرين. وتعد قنوات الكويت من أوائل القنوات الخليجية بل والعربية وأفضلهم. عام 1960 في 15 نوفمبر بدأ البث التجريبي للقناة الأولى وكان باسم البرنامج العام وكان لمدة 4 ساعات يومياً ومن هنا بداية الأنظمة الرسمية وكانت عبارة عن أخبار والقرآن الكريم بالإضافة إلى برامج تثقيف للأطفال والبرامج المختلفة. كما خرجت كاميرا التلفزيون من الأستوديو للمرة الأولى في 19 يونيو 1962م، وذلك لتسجيل الاحتفالات الرسمية الشعبية التي أقيمت بمناسبة عيد الاستقلال الأول. واستمر بث تلفزيون الكويت تجريبياً لمدة عامين حتى بدأ البث الرسمي في نهاية 1962 م عندما اكتملت تجهيزات التلفزيون حسب ظروف تلك الأيام وهذا وكان تلفزيون الكويت يقدر الجهد الذي يبذله المسئولون عن التلفزيون والمشرفون على العمل فيه، وقد خطت البرامج خطوات واسعة إلى الأمام من حيث الموضوع والإخراج والتصوير وقد تضاعفت ساعات الإرسال ولا تزال الجهود تبذل في سبيل الوصول بالتلفزيون إلى مستوى لائق به بين الدول. وفي تلك الفترة كان تلفزيون الكويت على ما يزال موقعه القديم على شاطئ الخليج العربي (قرب قصر دسمان) حتى تم بناء المجمع الضخم الذي ضم الوزارة والإذاعة والتلفزيون وكان مهيأ للبرامج والتمثيليات المختلفة.

أما أوائل المذيعين الكويتيين في تلك الحقبة فهم سالم الفهد و رضا الفيلي وجاسم الشهاب وباسمة سليمان ومنى طالب وأمل جعفر.

وكان التلفزيون في السابق يقوم ببث برامجه منذ بداية الصباح الباكر على أن يقف البث في منتصف الليل. وفي التسعينيات أصبح البث على مدار 24 ساعة متواصلة من البث المباشر والإعادة لبرامجه.

واليوم تضم باقة تلفزيون الكويت عدد من القنوات الأرضية والفضائية على عدة أقمار:
