DESCRIPTION:

 Al-Iraqiya Sports channel is one of the channels of the Iraqi media network. The channel is an important chapter of the network. The channel was founded on June 12, 2005 and started broadcasting in Baghdad, Karbala, Nasiriyah and Basra. Then it started to broadcast the satellite on Nilesat.

After the establishment of the channel in 2005, the channel tried to get the rights to broadcast the matches of the Iraqi Premier League, which was broadcast on the channel of the two rivers and an agreement between the two channels for the transfer of the joint league games between them and after the closure of the river channel turned the rights to transfer the league to the Iraqi sports channel and still owns the exclusive rights of the league to this Season (2017-18) The channel transfers three direct matches for each round of the league

قناة العراقية الرياضية احدى قنوات شبكة الإعلام العراقي تشكل القناة مفصلا مهما من مفاصل الشبكة وتأسست القناة في 12 حزيران 2005 وابتدأ بثها الأرضي في بغداد وكربلاء والناصرية والبصرة ثم انطلقت للبث الفضائي على قمر النايل سات وتنقل القناة مباريات الدوري العراقي الممتاز ومباريات المنتخب العراقي والاندية العراقية

بعد تأسيس القناة في 2005 حاولت القناة الحصول على حقوق بث مباريات الدوري العراقي الممتاز الذي كان يبث على قناة النهرين وحصل اتفاق بين القناتين لنقل مشترك لمباريات الدوري بينها وبعد اغلاق قناة النهرين تحولت حقوق نقل الدوري إلى القناة العراقية الرياضية ولا زالت تملك الحقوق الحصرية للدوري إلى هذا الموسم (2017-18) وتقوم القناة بنقل ثلاث مباريات مباشرة لكل جولة من الدوري
